We love our community and we have been serving Malibu and the surrounding area for over 60 years

We offer many different ways to get involved and participate depending on time and talents:

3) Project-Based

Teen Challenge
Once a month the 18 and older women of Teen Challenge, Lynwood, have a workshop at Malibu Pacific Church and are treated to a time of fellowship, a devotional, craft, and lunch.  Relationships have blossomed and lives transformed as we share in our faith journey together.  Volunteers also visit the women at Teen Challenge, Ventura, to further encourage and strengthen relationships.  What a blessing to be in community with new sisters in Christ.  For more information, please contact Pam Douglas at pgdouglas@roadrunner.com

Prison Ministry - Malibu Conservation Camp #13
The Malibu Conservation Camp CC #13 is a minimum-custody female camp for up to 105 convicted felons jointly operated by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The Malibu inmate fire crews are utilized on wild, land fire suppression as well as county conservation assignments, including maintenance of the State Beaches, local parks, and fire stations.

On the second Saturday of each month, volunteers from MPC offer a time of fellowship and worship through music, devotion, prayer, and art for the women at the camp. Our mission is to share Christ’s love with those who do not know Him as their Lord and Savior and nurture existing believers in faith and discipleship. Through encouragement and support, we desire to help them regain self-worth and prepare for a successful integration back into their communities, families, and churches upon release.

Thanksgiving Food Drive
In coordination with our deacons, we solicit donations outside of our local Ralph's so we can deliver to our Los Angeles mission partners hundreds of meals for families unable to provide their own. Volunteers needed In November.

Operation Christmas Child
Through Samaritan's Purse, we collect and send gift-filled shoeboxes to bless children living in poverty around the world during the holidays. This is an easy and fun way to get the whole family involved.

Comfy Kits for Children -  we provide the fabric for you to make on your own time, soft fleece blankets that we send to Gabriel's House of Mexico, James Storehouse, and Union Rescue Mission. We package these blankets with a hand-written note and stickers.

Hygiene Kits-  we collect toiletries items and place in a bag along with a devotional booklet and send over to Union Rescue Mission, Los Angeles Christian Health Centers and Claris Health.
