Foster Ministry

Nearly one hundred times a day, a child in California is placed in foster care. Los Angeles County alone "parents" over 33,000 abused and neglected foster youth.

Call to Prayer for Vulnerable Children

"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us." 1 John 5:14
Would you please take a few minutes, wherever you are, to pray together:
Lord we lift up your children to you. We know that you love them.
 Father, we pray for:
-The effects of the temporary shut down of the Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS).
-Your provision for the cases that are on pause: the detainments, reunifications, and adoptions that are now postponed.
-Miraculous placements and open hearts, we pray for the emptying of children's shelters and the opening of loving homes.
-Our LA county social workers, child defense attorneys, and judges, who are not able to go into their workplace. We pray for you to lift their burdens, as many of their cases (that they are forced to leave unattended) are keeping them up at night.
-We ask for mighty warriors to step up in the midst- grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, mentors, and CASA's to be with the kids that need them desperately.
-The effects of the LAUSD closure-we pray for children to remain fed, cared for, and that no abuse would go unnoticed.
-We pray against the temptation of alcohol and drug abuse for recovering parents during stressful times.
-We pray against emotional, physical and sexual abuse that happens behind closed doors.
-For your wisdom for organizations like James Storehouse, that their supplies would not run out, and that they can continue to bring peace and help.
-We pray against fear, anxiety and loneliness for your children.
-We ask for miracles- and for your angels to surround every vulnerable home.
"But you, God, see the trouble of the afflicted; you consider their grief and take it in hand. The victims commit themselves to you; you are the helper of the fatherless." Psalm 10:14
